TRADESCORE LABS · PRACTICAL SUPPORT
Prepare for remote IT support.
Use this checklist with your organisation’s authorised support team. Tradescore Labs supplies self-service resources; it does not connect to your computer or provide a live remote technician.
Before the session
Arrange help through a known support channel and confirm the ticket or request. Describe the symptom, the application involved, when it started and whether others are affected. Keep the device connected to power and establish a way to contact the helper if the remote session drops.
Close unrelated private documents and notifications before sharing your screen. Follow your organisation’s policy for the remote-support tool; do not install software simply because an unsolicited caller requests it.
Using Quick Assist with a trusted helper
Microsoft Quick Assist supports remote screen sharing and, with permission, control. Start only with someone you have verified through a trusted channel. Review the permission requested, stay present and stop the session if the activity does not match the agreed task.
Use Microsoft’s current Quick Assist instructions for the steps on your device. Corporate deployment and restrictions are covered in Microsoft’s IT administration guidance.
If the connection fails
Confirm that both sides have working internet access and the approved application is running. Record the exact error and time, and ask IT whether the tool is permitted on that device and network. Do not disable the firewall or security controls as a general workaround.
Browser and connectivity diagnostics can help organise the evidence. Hardware identification guidance helps locate the device details your support team needs.
After the session
End the remote connection, test the original problem yourself and ask what was changed. Record the result, any remaining symptoms and the next owner of the ticket. Report unexpected software, access requests or behaviour to your organisation’s security team.
Prepare a support handover, find a follow-up diagnostic script, or browse other IT guides.
